Quilt Terms of Service
Effective November 3, 2026.
These terms are the agreement between you and Another Tuesday LLC, a Texas limited liability company doing business as Quilt ("Quilt", "we", "us"). They cover tellquilt.com and app.tellquilt.com. You agree to them when you create an account, accept an invitation, buy a plan or open a gift. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information. Please read it too.
The short version on paying
Quilt plans renew automatically every year, at the yearly price plus any sales tax, until you cancel. Any admin can cancel online from the family's Billing page at any time. To avoid the next charge, cancel before your renewal date. We'll email you at least 30 days before it. Details are in section 4.
1. What Quilt is
Quilt helps families keep the stories of the people they love. A storyteller talks with Quilt's interviewer, an AI that asks questions out loud and remembers earlier conversations. Quilt keeps the storyteller's own voice, cuts it into clips and arranges them so the family can listen, leave messages and reply.
The interviewer is a computer. It speaks in a computer voice, and it can mishear, ask an awkward question or get a detail wrong. The titles, chapters, summaries and themes Quilt writes from a conversation can be wrong too. Quilt is a way to keep stories. It isn't therapy, counseling or medical care.
Quilt never generates, clones or alters a family member's voice. Every voice you hear in a story is a real person, except the interviewer's.
2. Who can use Quilt
You must be 18 or older to set up a family, pay for a plan, or buy or open a gift.
Anyone invited to a family must be 13 or older. Nobody under 13 may use Quilt.
Give us accurate information, including your age, and keep your password to yourself. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
3. Families and roles
A family is one shared account. People in it have one or more roles:
- Admins set up the family, invite people, manage the plan and control the family's recordings. A family can have several admins, and any of them can act for the family.
- Storytellers have conversations with the interviewer.
- Listeners listen to stories, leave messages and reply.
When you join a family, you're trusting its admins with what you record there. Read section 5 before you start.
If an admin dies or can't act. If a family's only admin dies or can no longer manage the family, another family member can write to hello@tellquilt.com. We'll ask for reasonable proof, such as a death certificate or power of attorney, and can then make them an admin.
4. Plans and payment
Plans. Quilt is a yearly plan for one family, billed once a year in advance:
| Plan | Storytellers | Per month | Billed once a year |
|---|---|---|---|
| Storyteller | 1 | $9 | $108 |
| Family | Up to 4 | $19 | $228 |
| Legacy | Up to 6 | $29 | $348 |
Every plan includes unlimited listeners, stories, messages and replies. Prices are in US dollars. Sales tax is added on top where it applies, and you'll see it before you pay. You can pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Charges show on your statement as QUILT.
Storyteller limits. If your family has more storytellers than its plan allows, everyone stays. You can't add another storyteller until you're under the limit or move up a plan.
Changing plans. If you move up a plan, we charge the difference for the rest of your year right away. Moving down takes effect at your next renewal.
Renewal. Your plan renews automatically each year at the price then in effect, and we charge the payment method on file. We'll email the admin who pays at least 30 days before each renewal with the date and the amount, and we'll say so if the price is going up. If a renewal payment fails and we can't collect it, the plan ends (see section 7).
Cancelling. Any admin can cancel from the family's Billing page. Cancelling stops the next renewal. Your plan runs to the end of the year you've paid for.
Refunds. If Quilt isn't for you, ask within 7 days of your first purchase and we'll refund it in full. If your family started with a gift, your first payment after the gift year counts as your first purchase. Write to hello@tellquilt.com. A refund ends the plan right away. Renewals and later payments aren't refundable, except where the law says otherwise. We email you at least 30 days before each renewal, so you have time to cancel.
Gifts. You can give another family a year of Quilt on any plan, at that plan's yearly price. We'll email it to them on the date you pick, or you can print a card to hand over yourself.
The person who opens the gift sets up the family and becomes its admin. You aren't in that family unless they invite you. Gifts don't expire. The year starts when the gift is opened.
A gift doesn't renew. When its year ends, the family can add a payment method to continue, or keep its archive as described in section 7.
You can get a full refund within 30 days of buying a gift, as long as it hasn't been opened. Once it's opened, it can't be refunded.
Payments are handled by our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.
5. Your recordings
Your family owns its stories. You keep every right you have in what you record and write on Quilt: conversations, welcome messages, voice messages, replies and anything else you add ("your content"). We don't own it.
What you let us do with it. You give Quilt permission to store, copy, process, transcribe and play your content, and to make clips, transcripts, titles, chapters, summaries and themes from it. This is only to run Quilt for your family and keep it secure. Your content may include sensitive information, such as details about health, faith or family history, and you agree to us processing it for this purpose. The permission ends when your content is deleted, apart from the short time copies take to leave our systems (the Privacy Policy has the details). We won't use your content to train AI models. We won't use it to advertise Quilt without asking you first.
Recordings belong to the family. What a storyteller or listener records goes into the family's archive, which its admins control. If you leave a family or are removed from it, your recordings stay with the family, and the admins decide whether to keep or delete them, unless the law gives you a right to have them deleted. A storyteller can hide or delete their own stories, and admins can hide or delete any story. Everyone can delete the messages and replies they wrote. By recording in a family, you let its members keep, play and share your recordings within the family, and let its admins download and delete them, including after you leave.
Other people. You're responsible for having the right to record what you record. Only record a conversation with the knowledge of the person speaking, and make sure anyone else who can be heard knows they're being recorded. Stories often involve people who aren't in the room. Please be kind to them.
If something breaks these terms. If a claim against Quilt comes from content you added or from you breaking these terms, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of dealing with it, to the extent the law allows.
Copyright. If you think something on Quilt infringes your copyright, write to hello@tellquilt.com with what it is and where it appears, and we'll look into it.
6. Things you can't do
Don't use Quilt to:
- record anyone without their knowledge;
- harass, threaten or abuse anyone, including in messages and replies;
- upload anything illegal, or anything you don't have the right to share;
- pretend to be someone else, or use another person's account;
- get into a family you weren't invited to, or into our systems;
- copy, scrape or resell Quilt, or use it to build a competing product; or
- interfere with how Quilt works for others, including trying to make the interviewer say harmful things.
7. When a plan ends
If your family's plan ends, you keep your archive. Everyone can still sign in and listen to the family's stories, and admins can still download them. Nothing new can be recorded: the interviewer stops, and so do new messages, replies and invitations. Starting a plan again turns everything back on.
8. Deleting things
A story. A deleted story goes to the family's Bin for 30 days, where it can be restored or deleted for good. After 30 days it's permanently deleted, along with its messages and replies.
A message or reply. It's removed right away.
The family's account. Any admin can delete the family's account. It's then locked for 30 days, and any admin can restore it. After 30 days, everything in it is permanently deleted and can't be recovered.
Deleting doesn't refund the current year, unless you're inside the 7-day refund window in section 4.
9. Suspending or closing an account
We can suspend or close an account, or remove content, if someone breaks these terms, if the law requires it, or to protect people or Quilt. Where we reasonably can, we'll tell the family's admins first.
If we ever stop running Quilt, we'll give at least 60 days' notice and a way to download your family's recordings.
10. Changes to Quilt and to these terms
Quilt will keep changing as we improve it. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll email every family's admins and show a notice in Quilt at least 30 days before the change takes effect. If you don't agree, you can cancel before then.
11. Notices
We'll send notices about your account, your plan and these terms by email, to the address on your account. Keep it current.
12. Our stuff and your feedback
Quilt's software, design, name and logo are ours. If you send us ideas or feedback, we can use them without owing you anything.
13. Disclaimers
We work hard to keep Quilt running and your recordings safe, and we keep backups. Still, Quilt is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we don't promise it will always be available or free of errors, or that the interviewer, transcripts or summaries will be accurate. Keep a copy of anything you can't bear to lose.
14. Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows, Quilt isn't liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost data. Our total liability for any claim about Quilt is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
15. The law that applies
These terms are governed by the laws of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes go to the state or federal courts in Travis County, Texas, unless the law where you live lets you bring them locally. If you're a consumer in the EU or UK, you keep the protections of your home country's law.
16. The rest
If part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce something right away, we haven't given up the right to. You can't transfer these terms to anyone else. We can transfer them if Quilt is sold or reorganized, and we'll tell you if that happens. These terms are the whole agreement between us about Quilt.
